History of the Modern Group

It had a humble beginning in Adelaide, South Australia, as a steam cleaning business. This Bramalco Steam Cleaning business was owned and run by Ron & Tina Bayley. In this small business, lay the seeds of a greater promise. At that time, just a small segment of the business looked after the roof repairs business, but later in 1987, the directors developed strategies to flourish this part of the business. Soon, the roof restoration business was born and it quickly became the focus of the company.
Some of the important historical milestones include opening of a branch of Modern Roof Restoration in Perth, Western Australia. In 1994, the Streamline Roller Shutters was added to the Perth operation; and by 1997, Modern Roof Restoration added new branches in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle, Wollongong and Central Coast NSW.
Today, the Modern Group stands as the undisputed leader in Australian market in the field of roof restoration, re-roofing, roller shutters and security alarm systems, garage doors, solar electricity, and solar hot water. Modern is a member of the Housing Industry Association, the Master Builders Association, ISES, ANZSES, ATA, BCSE, and the Clean Energy Council.
